MedlinePlus is a service of the U.S. National Library of Medicine.
MedlinePlus health database provides consumer-oriented health
information on thousands of disorders and conditions. The
information includes scientific reviews from the National Institutes
of Health, overviews, diagnosis/symptoms, treatment, clinical trials,
prevention etc.
The information could be found by browsing the starting letter of a
disorder/condition.
Diseases and Conditions (Centers for Disease Control
and Prevention)
Rich information on different diseases and conditions. The
information could be found by browsing the starting letter of a
disorder/condition.
Health Information (National Institutes of Health)
Provides health information from the various research institutes
and centers of the National Institutes for Health. Health Topics
could be found by browsing the starting letter of the disorder.
Healthfinder
Authoritative health information maintained by the Department of
Health and Human Services.
Healthline
Health search engine. Health channels provide resources for top
health articles, current news, HealthMaps®, recommended web
searches and others.
Diseases and Conditions (Mayo Clinic)
Diseases and Conditions A-Z list provides comprehensive
information about a disease or condition.
Illness Information at RxMed
Detailed information for patients and doctors on over 200 diseases
and conditions.
Diseases and Conditions A-Z List at Medicine.net
Provides reliable medical information on common diseases and
conditions. The medical topic could be found by using the A-Z list or
by search.
Health On the Net Foundation (HON)
HON offers two versions of medical and drug information search,
MedHunt and HONselect.
MedHunt
MedHunt is searching the Web by the use of MARVIN, a robot
developed by HON, capable of retrieving information in the medical
field. The Web resources from the HON database are included
after careful review. More than 30,000 medical/health sites are
visited and described by HON. Great number of medical sites is
automatically retrieved by MARVIN. The search results are ranked
and scored for relevance.

National Library of Medicine (NLM)
The NLM is the world's largest medical library. Drug and health
information could be obtained by MEDLINEPlus,
MEDLINE/PubMed, ClinicalTrials.gov, Toxline, Bookshelf. The
search could be facilitated by the use of MeSH (Medical Subject
Headings).

PubMed offers key words, author, and journal search of published

used. Browsing by journal or MeSH is another option. PubMed
